Years ago our family ditched mainstream dental products including toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste and mouthwash for cleaner and safer options. After extensive ingredient research and discovering startling evidence of the harmful effects of long term use of many toothpaste and mouthwash brands, we discovered a world of clean, healthy, and biologically supportive products.
Nano Hydroxyapatite Remineralizes Teeth
When it comes to dental care, finding the right toothpaste can make all the difference. In recent years, a remarkable ingredient has been gaining recognition in the world of oral hygiene – hydroxyapatite. This naturally occurring mineral, which is the main component of our teeth and bones, has found its way into toothpaste formulas, promising a host of benefits.
Hydroxyapatite is the natural occurring mineral representing 97% of our tooth enamel. In the 1970’s, NASA was researching how to help astronauts rebuild their bone density and tooth enamel loss from zero gravity environments. A formula using hydroxyapatite was so effective that the compound was brought to the consumer market as a benefit to all.
It took some time before our family found hydroxyapatite toothpaste. Along the way we have enjoyed many clean toothpaste brands along the way like Modere, fluoride free Hello, and the like, which do great at cleaning teeth. They lack, however, the combined benefits of hydroxyapatite toothpastes.
Benefits of Hydroxyapatite
One of the standout features of hydroxyapatite toothpaste is its ability to support remineralization of tooth enamel. This process involves replenishing lost minerals such as calcium and phosphate, which strengthens the enamel and makes it more resistant to decay. Hydroxyapatite, being chemically similar to enamel, can effectively bind to the tooth’s surface, encouraging remineralization and helping to reverse the early stages of tooth decay.
2. Reduction of Sensitivity
Tooth sensitivity can be a painful and bothersome issue. Hydroxyapatite toothpaste has demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing tooth sensitivity, making it a valuable option for those who struggle with discomfort while eating or drinking hot or cold substances. It works by plugging the microscopic tubules in the dentin, which is the tissue beneath the enamel, ultimately desensitizing the tooth.
3. Whitening without Harsh Chemicals
Many people desire a brighter smile, but traditional whitening toothpaste often relies on abrasive agents or harsh chemicals that can harm enamel. Hydroxyapatite toothpaste offers a gentler alternative for achieving a whiter smile. It helps to remove surface stains while being non-abrasive and enamel-friendly, promoting a natural and healthy shine.
4. Anti-Bacterial Properties
Hydroxyapatite’s natural antibacterial properties make it a formidable defender against harmful oral bacteria. By creating a protective barrier on the tooth’s surface, it can inhibit the growth of bacteria that lead to cavities and gum disease. This can contribute to long-term oral health and fresher breath.
5. Safe for All Ages
Hydroxyapatite toothpaste is generally considered safe for individuals of all ages, including children and the elderly. Its gentle nature and absence of harsh chemicals make it a suitable choice for those with sensitive teeth, dental restorations, or dental work.
6. Environmentally Friendly
In an era of increasing environmental consciousness, it’s worth noting that hydroxyapatite toothpaste aligns with eco-friendly values. Being a naturally occurring mineral, it poses fewer environmental concerns compared to some synthetic ingredients used in traditional toothpaste formulations. It’s a winner all around.
Hydroxyapatite toothpaste is revolutionizing oral hygiene by harnessing the power of a naturally occurring mineral. With its remarkable benefits, including remineralization, reduced sensitivity, gentle whitening, antibacterial properties, and suitability for all ages, it offers a compelling alternative to conventional toothpaste. As more people seek effective and safe dental care products, hydroxyapatite toothpaste is emerging as a shining star in the world of oral health, promising brighter smiles and stronger teeth for years to come. So, why not give it a try and experience the brilliance of hydroxyapatite for yourself? Your smile will thank you!
Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste Brands
When choosing a clean and remineralizing toothpaste, search for Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste. Be sure to look at the ingredients, not just the cost. Prices vary dramatically based on content and quality. It’s best to find products that list the percentage of hydroxyapatite content. Those with 10% or higher will provide the best results. If the percentage is not listed, it will be below 10%. Nonetheless, these toothpastes will all be healthy alternative choices to help improve your dental fortitude. There are many to choose from and here’s a few options:
- Bioniq – 20% but not listed on main website.
- Boka – % not listed
- David’s – % not listed
- Dr Jen – 10% plus some great info on their website.
- Himalaya – % not listed
